What is the UMAT?
The Undergraduate Medical and Health Science Admissions Test (UMAT) is a test that is specifically designed to contribute to the selection process for students aiming to enter undergraduate degrees in areas such as Medicine, Dentistry, and Health Sciences at an undergraduate level.
Often students underestimate the importance of the UMAT when in fact it is just as important as the ATAR score. The UMAT score you receive actually determines whether or not you receive an interview offer - the final component of selection for most universities. Without an interview you will not be considered for a place in the course. See the University Admissions Guide for more information on the selection criteria of Australian and New Zealand universities.
